Boehringer Ingelheim Metacam Chewable Tablets For Dogs

What is it?
Metacam® chewable tablets contain a non-steroidal anti-in ammatory drug (NSAID) and are used to reduce pain and
inflammation in dogs.

Metacam® chewable tablets can be used for both chronic (long-term) musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, and
acute (sudden and short-lived) musculoskeletal disorders, such as an injury.

Metacam® chewable tablets for dogs are available in two strengths:
• 1 mg tablets
• 2.5 mg tablets

How is it administered?
Metacam® chewable tablets can be given with or without food and are flavoured so that most dogs will readily accept
them. Each chewable tablet can be halved for accurate dosing according to the individual body weight of the dog.

More precise dosing may be achieved using Metacam® oral suspension for dogs. For dogs weighing less than 4 kg, the
use of Metacam® oral suspension for dogs is recommended.
