Single tablet to control Coccidiosis in homing and show pigeons

Coxitabs is an effective treatment and control of coccidiosis which is caused by Eimeria Labbeana and Elmeria Columbarum in homing and show pigeons.

Birds should be treated when mated and again 3-4 weeks later to prevent infection of nestlings.

Also birds should be treated following transportation to shows and races where they may be exposed to contaminated cages or baskets.

Dosage and Administration	One tablet per pigeon, regardless of weight to be placed in the mouth. To facilitate dosing, the pigeon should be held by a second person. The tablet should be gently pushed through the opened beak and throat as far as possible into the gullet. All birds in the same loft should be treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection by untreated birds.
Contra-Indications and Warnings	For use in pigeons only. Do not administer with drugs that may cause vomiting. NOT FOR USE IN PIGEONS INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. Birds should be treated when mated and again 3 – 4 weeks later in order to prevent infection of nestlings. Birds should be treated following transportation to shows or races where they may be exposed to contaminated cages, baskets etc. Wash hands after administration of the tablets to birds and after clearing waste from treated birds.
Storage	Do not store above 25°C. Store in a dry place. Keep blister in outer carton. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Further Information	Coxitabs can safely be administered to pigeons during the breeding season; the product has no adverse effects on the condition of the nestlings. In order to reduce the risk of re-infection following treatment, good management and hygiene practices are essential, in particular regular cleaning of the premises to remove pigeon excreta. If signs of disease persist or appear, consult your veterinary surgeon.
